文脉背景
江门古井镇,宋末崖山海战之地。南宋皇室遗脉在此聚居,形成当地文脉之基。鸦片战争后,漂洋过海的江门人接受西方文化洗礼的同时又心怀着故里荣归的传统情节。他们将西方建筑文化逐渐融入本土建筑之中,开创了中西合璧的侨乡建筑。保利玥府立于侨乡文脉之上,尝试在现代主义的根基上将东方的宋式美学和西方的现代主义进行碰撞,在侨乡的特殊语境中探索现代主义与地域主义融合的可能性。Jiangmen Gujing, where the royal family of Nan Song dynasty lived after its thrown had been subverted, developed a culture based on that of Nan Song. As the area opens up to western modernism, local architecture aesthetics thus this project incorporates both Song and western minimalism into a Chinese minimalist style through many explorations and experiments.

东方的空间格局:庭院深深。追求空间之间的联系(步移景异,游走动线,层次化景致)。西方的建筑形态:光影之间。追求单个空间的表现力(雕塑感、明暗对比、空间反差)。Eastern Architecture (left): Layers of Courtyards, landscape miniature changes as we move. Western Architecture (right): Lights and shadows forms spiritual spaces.
空间体验
——大道至简,虚实交融——
建筑界面以现代主义的体块穿插呈现,强调建筑形体与内部功能的协调配合。均衡的非对称构图,体块的虚实变化无处不彰显着建筑逻辑后的现代主义思考。The interface of architecture is presented through intersecting massing, emphasizing the congruence of form and function.然而细节处又深谙大道至简的宋式美学。纯粹的质感,素雅的色调,方圆之间的表达都与当地的宋代文脉息息相关。
The placement of volume demonstrates designer's modernist thinking in terms of architectural logic, while the details implicate the Song Aestheticism that "the most complexity lies in simplicity", through the texture and tone.
Three layers of courtyard三重院落透过漏窗与月洞门的层层框景与漏景,形成庭院深深的宋词美学意境。
COURTYARD 1 Dormancy of Water | Lights and Shadows
"花院小回廊,风帘翠幕。"
"水面红妆翠绡帐。蓬莱云近,风露一番清旷。"
静水与曲道回廊在内庭中作为建筑与自然之间的媒介,将二者交融为一体。平静的水面更投射出了第三个空间,虚与实的碰撞,模糊了建筑、景观与自然的边界。
Tranquil water in the courtyard incorporate architecture and nature. It blurs the boundary between architecture, landscape, and nature by reflecting a virtual third space.
COURTYARD 2 Skylights | Rectangel and Round“小院深明别有天,水底明霞十顷光。”
用中国传统的布局方式在二重庭院造四面围合之园, 雨水顺檐汇聚又寓意水聚天心。形状方圆之间又隐隐透露出东方的宇宙观。围合一方景致,纳天地于一芥子。The Chinese traditional layout of a courtyard enclosed by four walls indicates the a culture value of introvert and reserved spirit.
COURTYARD 3 Hill in Sight | Heaven and Earth
到了第三重庭院,禅意更浓。水平延伸的挑檐有一种舒展的宋式建筑的形态之美。通透的玻璃将室内外之间的屏障消融,砂与石所呈现的“一池三山”的开阔之境容纳于一方天地。
The third courtyard is a Chinese zen garden that continues the zen style of the first two. The large cantilever surrounds and smoothes out; the transparency of full glazing eliminates the separation of inside and ouside; sand and rocks form up a space where water flows through mountains.天井与山院通过月洞门相互渗透,互为景致。有着绵绵不绝,前后呼应的情态。Skylight courtyard and zen garden complement with each other so that scenery continues as we move.
